Deontay Wilder broke his arm after his great fight with Tyson Fury
Deontay Wilder twice put Tyson Fury on the floor in a fight for the WBC heavyweight title. However, the boxer nicknamed “Bronze Bomber” still suffered defeat against “Gypsy King”.
Tyson Fury knocked out his opponent in round 11 and successfully defended the WBC heavyweight title. On the other side of the front line, Deontay Wilder had to go to the hospital for a checkup after the match ended.
Coach Malik Scott said: “Deontay Wilder suffered a broken lip, broken arm, broken knuckles and a number of other injuries. We have seen the doctor for a check-up, in general everything is fine.”
The 35-year-old boxer did not spend the night at the hospital and returned home after being examined by a doctor. Coach Malik Scott confirmed Deontay Wilder will take a long break and take a break from boxing.
“I don’t want Deontay Wilder to talk about boxing or do anything boxing in the near future. I want him to rest well after this match. He’s worked tirelessly for a long time, now it’s time for him to take a breather and recuperate.” – Malik Scott said.
In the past, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury drew against each other for the first time in 2018. By 2020, Tyson Fury beat Deontay Wilder to win the WBC heavyweight championship from the opponent.
Deontay Wilder activated the rematch clause but still received a “heart-to-heart” defeat in the match that took place yesterday (October 10) and sadly watched Tyson Fury continue to hold the championship belt.
